GINGIVITIS

Gingivitis is known as inflammation and redness of the gums that is accompanied by bleeding. It is usually caused by poor hygiene and plaque build-up, nutritional deficiencies, and medical problems.

If gingivitis is not treated, it can progress to more serious states, turning into periodontitis.

PERIODONTITIS

Periodontitis occurs when the structures that support the tooth are infected with bacteria and affects deeper areas. The result is the destruction of the bone and gum that supports the tooth and causes it to lose its insertion and have mobility, and may even lose it.
